Four short essay-based questions on the case, focusing on the 4P’s

 

Some of the required information is provided below, but it’s expected to undertake research on your own to get a better understanding of the market for the product.

 

responses should remain synergistic throughout all 4 questions and be structured to offer the product a comprehensive insight into appropriate application and practice relevant to its current situation.

 

It’s expected to go well beyond repeating information and must show application of theory, critical analysis, strategic insight and structured thinking.

 

Each response (question) has a maximum limit of 500 words which must be adhered to.

 

Please focus on explicitly responding to what you are asked to do, and in the manner

suggested. Tables, figures, images and diagrams are welcome, and they do not form part of the word limit. Point form, sub-headings and similar elements that allow you to remain concise (but clear) are most welcome and encouraged.

 

There is no formatting requirements as such, but a 12 font, single line spacing and standard justification is preferred. You are welcome to bold, underline, italicize, colour or highlight key points or areas for emphasis. Point form as mentioned is welcome where applicable. Diagrams, images, tables etc. can be placed wherever they best fit and must be given a heading and source detail (if applicable).

 

With regards to referencing, you should reference your work if necessary, although it is recommended that you rely on your own learning and acquired knowledge in responding. Please use your own words and strategic insights rather than looking to simply apply that directly of others. You’ll see that the questions seek your application, not repetition of theory.

QUESTIONS TO ANSWER

 

Question 1: (10 marks)

Crowdfunding is not only a profitable and beneficial way of generating funds for the company but can also be a useful promotion tool. What role do you think crowdfunding has played in the promotion of Amazfit – X. How does this approach relate to the promotion mix you studied in this course?

Question 2: (10 marks)

Evaluate the current Pricing Strategy used by Amazfit-X. What do you think might have been the main considerations in setting the current price for Amazfit-X?

Question 3: (10 marks)

Considering that product characteristics have a considerable influence on adoption rates for new products, what product characteristics of Amazfit-X will promote or hinder its adoption? Make recommendation to the company to address the latter.

 

Question 4: (10 marks)

We covered Roger’s Adoption Model in the course However, several other theories have been proposed to describe the process of how new products get accepted in the population. Kaur et al (2010)* provides a summary of the three main theories of product adoption including Roger’s Adoption Model.

Which one of these theories do you believe are most applicable/useful in describing the adoption process for Amazfit X? Why?
