Essay 1: ‘Writing Ourselves In

Following Class 2 Lecture (where notions of bias are introduced and explained) students are asked to explore and discuss their own biases in a 1000-word essay. The aim of the exercise is to assess how personal bias might influence the student’s experience, learning, and interaction on the course. As the course progresses, students may want to add and revise some of their initial ideas. This essay should be treated as a live document even after it has been handed in, as it forms the basis of the Group Presentation exercise, which start from the 10th of June.
