Details:
For this task, form the group of 3 to 4 members. You have roughly the first month of the course to get to know who do you want to work with and for your group. Inform your tutor at the tutorial week 4. Then in your group, you need to do the following three steps:

1. Map the elements of Eco-System in Melbourne, based on “BEEP” framework (which will be introduced in the first week lecture of the Module 2).

Be industry-specific. This means choose one specific industry (e.g. ICT, Finance, Agriculture, Energy, Education, Hospitality, Tourist, Coffee, etc.). You still can choose to be “general” rather than “industry-specific”. However, you will be slightly penalised (see Rubric for details).
The data collection for the mapping can be done mostly by secondary data (e.g. valid internet sources).
In the mapping process, you need to provide the example of (at least) two agents in each of the Babson’s elements. An example is KYDO as an agent under the element SUPPORT in the BEEP framework (see the lecture slides). If not available/applicable, you need to argue and discuss it clearly.

2. Choose two elements of the Eco-system and perform interview (primary data collection) with one agent in each of the two elements. These two agents may or may not be entrepreneurs themselves. The interview can be face-to-face or via phone. You are free to choose which question you want to ask from the interviewees, but you are strongly encouraged to cover the following:

Do the interviewees belong themselves (their organisations) as part of the ecosystem in Victoria? Why/why not?
In which ways (monetary vs. non-monetary) they are providing benefits to entrepreneurs within the eco-system?
Is it any specific type of entrepreneurs they are targeting (in terms of industry, gender, age, etc.)? Or all types of entrepreneurs are a potential beneficiary of them?
In which ways they are interacting with other agents/pillar/elements within the eco-system?
Can such interaction be improved? How?

C. Mapping Ecosystem, i.e. visualization of ecosystem in Victoria with at least 2 examples under each ecosystem elements (this is heavily based on what you have done in the Task 2A)
Tips: You are encouraged to use a table (rather than figure) here. The first column of the table lists the 6 elements of BEEP. The third (last) column is the agents you picked with 1 or 2 line(s) description for each of them and/or a website for each of them. The middle column is the pillars in the BEEP that links your agents with the elements.

D. Interview (See Task 2A above for the instruction and which questions needs to be included in the interview)
Tips: A suggestion for the format of this section is to use the combination of direct quotes from interviews (documented in Italic font) and your own wording on elaborating what the interviews said.
