The literature review should be an exploration of scholarly work on your topic of choice beyond what we’ve read together. Similarly to your review essays, a good literature will move beyond summary to include critical evaluation of arguments, a synthesis that compares/contrasts evaluation of which work(s) you find most compelling and why, and/or commentary on gaps in the literature that could provide the basis for future research. The project should also include a bibliography with an appropriate number of sources (one source per page is a good guideline for this). Some resources on crafting a good literature review will be posted to Canvas. It is my expectation that this project will be a minimum of 12 double-spaced pages, and no more than 20 pages.
