Focus on one or two para-verbal or non-verbal semiotic signifiers relating to the features of your working languages and situate your argument within the broader theoretical discussion.
- Paratexts can be considered as both functional and ideological in that they represent what Genette (1997) describes as a ‘threshold’ between authors and readers. Explore the role of paratextual elements (peritext and/or epitext) by carrying out a case study of one or more published translations.
